Tri-State Nursing celebrates 30 years of business

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – A Siouxland business celebrated its 30th year helping hospitals and long-term care facilities. Thursday night, Tri-State Nursing, a 100% female-owned business, held an open house to celebrate the company’s 30th year.

Tri-State Nursing is a temporary agency for health care professionals. So, when nursing homes and hospitals are short-staffed, Tri-State helps place new nurses and health professionals.

The business opened in 1993 when president and owner, Bridget Hoefling, bought the business. And over the past 30 years, the business has flourished.

Originally, Tri-State only operated in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Now it’s registered to do business in 15 states.

“Oh, the growth has been outstanding. I’ve worked hard, but I’ve enjoyed it. and I am very very very blessed. The growth has just been astronomical,” said Bridget Hoefling.

For Hoefling’s family, Tri-State Nursing was always a huge part of their lives. Her son, Mitchell, grew up around Tri-State and is now part of the business.

“We never say no to any challenges. We always keep the door open. If someone needs something specialized, we aren’t afraid to see what we can do to help them. Just always saying yes and never saying no,” said Mitchell Hoefling.

Bridget Hoefling plans to continue growing the business and has goals for the upcoming year.
